My video installation APOPHENIA, as presented at KIT Kunst im Tunnel Düsseldorf in October 2019. My intention was to visualise philosopher Peter Wessel Zapffe‘s four methods against human suffering as explained in his 1933 essay “The Last Messiah”.
I combined excerpts from the essay shown on one screen with the according visualisation of the method on another screen, while a third screen constantly shows cockroaches eating and breeding.
